| It’s finally here, the Tenth Anniversary of the opening of the Ely Stage Stop & Country Museum and we have been working hard to present an exciting day of good old fashioned music, food and FUN. The date is Saturday, July 17th. The gates will open at 10 am with Dignitaries and Founding Members gathering at 1 pm to commemorate the occasion. We will have hot dogs and root beer floats. There will be demonstrations and displays of Lake County History with music and theatrical vignettes throughout the day. Bring the kids! They will be able to pan for “gold”, watch the Smithy at the Blacksmith area, have their faces painted, explore old equipment and ride on a horse drawn wagon, if the weather isn’t too HOT! Everyone can learn about the archaeological finds by the students of the Field School Camp from Foothill College of Los Altos. The students are digging and surveying the original Ely homestead this summer. The gates will close at 3 pm to prepare for the evening event – a Farm to Table Dinner / Dave Stamey Concert at 5 pm, benefitting the Ely Stage Stop & Country Museum. | This Sunday, June 6, we will be enjoying the beginning of summer in front of the Trolley Stage. The Old Time Fiddlers will be playing our favorite tunes outside as we sit in the shade of the oak grove. Be sure to bring your lawn chair. The music starts at noon and goes to 2 pm. |  |

Be sure to check out our Country Store and the Native Plant Garden on your way up to the house (Open from 11 am – 3 pm) to view the vintage wedding dresses on display. |
